Munnar - tea plantation

We arranged aonther trip with our homestay. We went to Munnar into the tea plantation. This trip was really tough but so damn beautiful and the landscape just amazing.

The accommodation we had for this night was just in between the vegetation with a stunning view over the valley. We watched the tea plungers and visited a tea museum.

Unfortunately this was typical Indian. The video room was totally overloaded and the presentation was more a advertisement than anything else. After that video everybody was squeezed into a presentation room where a employee with heavy Indian accent rushed through the procedures of tea production and left us alone into the production room.

Micha’s parents did not understand a single word which made us explain the process again. Sad as this museum had the chance to make it really interesting but did not care about that. Back into our accommodation we found out that many people complained about that already several times.

But still we can recommend a visit at Munnar. Back in Kochi that night we packed for the flight to Chennai next morning.
